Mr. Wormwood called the regular October meeting of the Town of Watertown Zoning Board of Appeal to order at 7:00 p.m.
Motion 11-21: Motion by Mr. Cooney, seconded by Mrs. Kiernan to accept the minutes of the September 13, 2021 meeting as written and distributed.
Ayes All: Motion Carried.
PUBLIC HEARING – VARIANCE REQUEST
Avichal Corp – 19784 Cady Road – Tax Map #90.18-1-28 – Variance Request of Front Setback Requirements on Cady Road and County Route 62 for a Canopy Over Gas Pumps at a Proposed Convenient Store/Gas Station.
Legal notice was published in the newspaper and evidence that adjacent property owners were notified was provided.
The public hearing was opened at 7:04 p.m. No one from the public wished to speak. The public hearing was closed at 7:05 p.m.
VARIANCE REQUEST
Avichal Corp – 19784 Cady Road – Tax Map #90.18-1-28 – Variance Request of Front Setback Requirements on Cady Road and County Route 62 for a Canopy Over Gas Pumps at a Proposed Convenient Store/Gas Station.
The Jefferson County Department of Planning comments from 9/29/21 were entered into record (Attachment #1).
Tom Ross, Storino Geomatics, on behalf of Avichal Corp., reviewed the proposed plans for Avichal Corp and the need for a variance of setback requirements on Cady Road and County Route 62 for a canopy over gas pumps at a proposed Convenience Store/Gas Station located at 19784 Cady Road, Tax Map #90.18-1-28. Discussion followed.
Motion 12-21: Motion by Mr. Wormwood, seconded by Mrs. Knapp to grant a variance to Avichal Corp, 19784 Cady Road, Tax Map #90.18-1-28 to allow the setback of 14′ on Cady Road and 25′ on County Route 62 for a canopy over gas pumps at a convenience store/gas station. Both require 40′.
