Members Absent:

Supervisor Bartlett opened the meeting at 2:00 pm followed by a roll of members present.

Supervisor Bartlett informed the Board the necessary paperwork has not been completed for the acceptance of the extension of Boulder Creek Road in the Dry Hill Development area.

Supervisor Bartlett read the following letter addressed to the Councilmember’s Dated July 23, 2018:

Please accept this correspondence as certification of the prepared Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) pertaining to the proposed construction of a Multi-purpose Regional Event Center (MEC) in the Town of Watertown as a true and accurate statement and as such is ready for submission for REDC Round 8 funding consideration.

MOTIONS / RESOLUTIONS

MOTION #65-2018

WHEREAS, the Town of Watertown Town Council having reviewed the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) as prepared authorizes the following actions pertaining to the submittal of its New York State REDC Round 8: Consolidated Funding Application currently in preparation for the proposed Multi-purposed Event Center (MEC) to be located within the Town of Watertown on NYS Rte 3 Arsenal Street Road, and

WHEREAS, the Town Supervisor may, in his judgment make or cause the Town’s duly authorized advisors to make those edits or other alterations to the CFA he deems necessary and sufficient, provided they do not materially change the substance of the CFA draft received for consideration by the Town Council as of July 23, 2018; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon written certification by the Town Supervisor to the Council that the CFA is complete and ready for submission, and the Town Supervisor is hereby authorized to direct the Town’s authorized advisors to submit the CFA on behalf of the Town of Watertown no later than the established due date of July 27, 2018 at 4:00 pm, as required by the current REDC Round 8 funding process.

A motion to adopt the foregoing resolution was offered by Supervisor Bartlett, seconded by Councilman Prosser.

MOTION #66-2018

WHEREAS, the Town of Watertown Town Council has accepted the Draft Upstate Revitalization Initiative Grant Funding application and authorizes the Supervisor or the Town’s duly appointed representative to file the application for the State funding consideration under the Upstate Revitalization Program.

A motion to adopt the foregoing resolution was offered by Supervisor Bartlett, seconded by Councilman Prosser.

Councilman Prosser moved to adjourn the meeting at 2:21 pm, Councilman Desormo seconded.
