Town of Watertown Planning Board

January 2, 2018

Mr. Boxberger called the rescheduled regular meeting of the Town of Watertown Planning Board to order at 7:04 p.m.

 

Motion 1-18:                          Motion by Mr. Vaas, seconded by Mr. MacAdam to accept the minutes of the November 6, 2017 meeting as written and distributed.

 

Ayes All: Motion Carried.

 

Motion 2-18:                          Motion by Mr. Boxberger, seconded by Mr. MacAdam to schedule a special meeting of the Town of Watertown Planning Board with the Tug Hill Commission for Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.

 

Ayes All: Motion Carried.

 

Mr. Boxberger announced that the Tug Hill Commission’s Local Government Conference will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Jefferson Community College.  Please Contact Pam Desormo if you are interested in attending as soon as possible for early registration pricing.

 

SITE PLAN

 

Lundy Development & Property Management, LLC – Lot 2B – Jefferson County Corporate Park – Tax Map #73.20-1-2.6 – Site Plan.

 

Mike Lundy approached the board regarding a previously approved site plan for Lot 2B in the Jefferson County Corporate Park, Tax Map #73.20-1-2.6.  The previously approved site plan was granted on 6/1/15 as shown on Motion: 44-15 (Attachment #1).  This site plan was never filed and has expired.

 

Mr. Lundy submitted updated plans for a smaller building consisting of 48,000 square feet on lot 2B in the Jefferson County Corporate Park, Tax Map #73.20-1-2.6.  The amended plans are for a building half the size of the previous building.  All other details such as the driveway, color, style, trim, landscaping, and storm water details remain the same as previously approved.  Discussion followed.

 

Mr. Vaas stated that a new SWPPP is not needed as the old one is still valid.

 

Motion 3-18:                          Motion by Mr. MacAdam, seconded by Mr. Boxberger to extend the previously approved site plan of 6/1/15 to expire 7/2/18.

 

Ayes All: Motion Carried.

 

Motion 4-18:                          Motion by Mr. Boxberger, seconded by Mr. Vaas to waive the public hearing for the proposed amended site plan as one was previously held on 6/1/15 with no comments from the public and the modified plans are for a building half the size with similar details.

 

Ayes All: Motion Carried.

Motion 5-18:                          Motion by Mr. Boxberger, seconded by Mr. MacAdam to grant approval for the modified site plan for Lundy Development & Property Management, LLC, Tax Map #73.20-1-2.6, Lot 2B in the Jefferson County Corporate Park as shown on plans prepared by Harrington & Mosher Architects, P.C., signed by David E. Mosher for a parcel facing County Route 202 consisting of a building 48,000 square feet and parking for buses and employees/visitors as shown on the site plan labeled L1, dated 1/2/18 title New Bus Garage, Lot 2B, Jefferson County Corporate Park, conditional that all outside lighting be labeled Dark Sky Compliant.

Motion 6-18:                          Motion by Mrs. MacAdam, seconded by Mr. Vaas to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m.
